Stockton Outfitters was founded greater than thirty years ago with a ten dollar bill and guts. After guiding thousands of sportsmen, the name Stockton Outfitters has become the industry standard for excellence in the field of hunting.
Our Mission is to forge your hunt, fishing trip, vacation or outing into the memory for a lifetime. We’re a little bit western, but at Stockton Outfitters, we focus on the experience. It’s all about the hunt or encounter. We enjoy our job and offer but one guarantee, 100% effort on the part of our outfitter and guides.

Meet The Team
Mark J. Shutey, MT Guide License #8921
Mark is the head guide and manager of Stockton Outfitters, LLC. He is a native to the area and has been guiding professionally for in excess of ten years. Mark is also the majority shareholder of the parent company, Mountain Memories Properties, Inc. Mark’s hunting style is extremely aggressive and focused on results. Whether hunting bear, elk or deer with Mark, you can expect to be put to the test in the pursuit of your trophy. He uses a variety of techniques and his knowledge of the country and the game is unsurpassed, but his persistence and willingness to go the extra mile combine to bring vast opportunities to his hunters.
Vaughn Esper , Outfitter of Record, MT License # 6808
Vaughn has spent a lifetime guiding and outfitting hunters and fishermen throughout the world. A native of Oklahoma, he has owned and operated outfitting businesses in Canada and Montana. Vaughn currently works with ESPN sports and is involved in the production of sporting shows like Under Wild Skies for the network. His knowledge of big game hunting is global and his professionalism is second to none.
John Easton, MT Guide License #11978
John is a vetran to the Mountains of the North Western United States. John's mountain savy and vast years of experience provide amble opportunities to his hunters. Hard work, diligence and knowledge define John in a nutshell. Prior to joining Stockton Outfitters, John owned and operated his own outfitting service in Northern California. John has been hunting and guiding in Montana for the past 10 years and makes his home just South of Missoula, MT where he and his family operate a small business which specializes in Spurs and Bits. John is renoowned nationally for his skills.

Dave Rigby, MT Guide License # 12830
Dave is a seasoned vetran guide with in excess of 12 years of experience. He is a native to South Western Montana and has adapted his prowess in this region to successfully take mature bull elk and trophy mule deer for his hunters. Dave's hunt philosophy combines persistence and patience. Dave's wisdom and attitude combine to create un parrallelled oportunity for his clients.
Frank Rasmussen, Camp Cook
Frank is the back country camp cook for Stockton Outfitters, LLC. He is originally a native of Washington State, but has spent the past 35 years of his life in the Rocky Mountains of South Western Montana. Frank lives for the outdoors. He enjoys hunting, fishing and is an avid houndsman. He raises and trains Blue Ticks and Plotts specifically for hunting purposes in the off season. He has 40+ years experience in hunting camps through out Montana and Washington and as the cheif cook and bottle washer for Stockton Outfitters aims to keep all of our clients "well fed and happy".
Matt Rowe, Montana Guide License # 10673
Matt is a native of South Western Montana and is an extremely savy elk, mule deer, white tail , sheep, antelope and bear hunter. His experience includes guiding in the Absorkee Bear Tooths, and packing in the rugged Alaskan wilderness. Matt's style is aggressive and productive. He offers his clients an addrenaline filled adventure geared toward successful kills.
